My favorite time of day is from late afternoon until just before the sun sets,” states Gjertson. In this panoramic view of a pine-surrounded meadow north of Sandstone, he endeavored to capture the time when deer come out of the forest to feed, hugging the edge of the trees until the sun disappears.
